Ingredients
- 600g lamb or beef cubes
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 2 green peppers, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and black pepper
- Parchment paper or aluminum foil
Instructions
- Marinate Meat: Season meat cubes with salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, and tomato paste. Let marinate for 30 minutes.
- Prepare Vegetables: Sauté onions in butter until soft. Add garlic and cook briefly.
- Assemble: Cut large pieces of parchment paper. Place sautéed onions in the center, top with marinated meat, then add tomatoes and peppers. Add a small piece of butter on top.
- Wrap: Fold the paper to create a sealed package, making sure no steam can escape.
- Bake: Place packages on a baking tray. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 45-60 minutes.
- Serve: Open the paper at the table (be careful of steam!) and serve with rice or bread.
Tips
The paper seals in all the flavors and steam, creating incredibly tender meat. Make sure to seal the packages well to trap all the juices.
